I have an old 30 inch bow saw like that. Replacing the blade is a bear but it was easier when I used a big pipe/furniture clamp to squeeze the two ends before putting in the new blade. it is still not easy but it is not as bad.

What if you’ve never had sod and you want to pull up your whole yard for gardening I hate grass I want to grow something more useful I started using a thatch rake to pull it up and a hoe but it’s not sod so I’m just curious if there’s anything to help

Measuring by eye depends upon the value of the project. It invariably leads to more scrap and replacement efforts. Do the best you need to then take a break and review the job.

What I found most informative was the importance of the base wood piece to set on the sill and using a level to slightly adjust the unit to tilt back to spill off the condensation/water to the outside of the house. the screws are japanese they have a dot on the top of the screws . I don't know the name of the screw driver but they have a different pitch on the end.
